The greatest mystery of this continent might be the lines of Nazca. These lines are enormous geometric figures and animal shapes in the landscape of the pampa of San José. Every figure is carried out in a continious line and can be as long as 200 meter. The total area is about 500 square kilometer. The Nazca-limes are already explained as a giant astronomical calendar, connected to upgoing and undergoing points of sky bodies, or sacred paths between surrounding 'huacas' or holy places. It is remarkable that there existed people that could make such straight lines into the landscape. In short, a miracle that you need to experience!
